Mrs Julie Windass
Sharon has been a Foundation Governor at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Evesham for 14 years and has held the role of Chair of Governors for 11 years, during which time she has been involved in two Ofsted inspections and two Section 48 Inspections.
Over the past two years Sharon has provided governance support to the Board of Directors of the Holy Family Catholic MAC as a member of the Audit and Resource committee. During this time as a governor, she has held responsibilities for SEND and Performance management and she has a particular interest in teaching and learning providing support and challenge to the senior leadership team.
Sharon aims to use her governance experience to support St Mary’s Broadway and to have a positive impact on the quality of education and on the outcomes for all our children and the whole school community.
Sharon is a member of the parish community of The Immaculate Conception and St Egwin in Evesham and has links to the parish in Broadway. Sharon currently works within the area of education working within the Registry and MIS department of a local FE and HE college group, this experience will be help her understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing schools.
Jackie has been the Headteacher of Broadway’s near neighbour, St. Mary’s Catholic Primary in Evesham since 2009 and became head of St. Mary's Broaadway at Easter 2022. After completing a degree in History at Birmingham University, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education; Jackie is now approaching the end of her thirty-third year of teaching. There have been many changes in education during this time, but one constant is Jackie quotes "I still find myself amused, delighted, inspired and often challenged by the children in my care, every single day!"
Jackie has much experience of Governing Bodies and has been a Governor for many years, at St. Mary's in Evesham and also at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Malvern.
KAY BUCKLEY
Kay resides within the Parish of Evesham and has been associated with St Mary’s Evesham for over 20 years in several roles as Parent, Foundation Governor, PTFA member and School Business Manager.
In addition to her work with the school Kay is an active member of the parish and is Safeguarding representative for both Broadway and Evesham churches which links to her role of Safeguarding Governor.
Kay has an excellent understanding of the school admission and appeals process which she uses as a volunteer for the diocese sitting on appeal panels hearing school appeals across the diocese.
All this experience gives her a wealth of knowledge that she brings to governing body.
LOUISE MIDDLEDITCH
Louise has been Assistant head teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Evesham since 2009. After completing a BED Hons in History and Computing at St. Mark and St. John’s College, Plymouth; Louise is now approaching the end of her thirty-second year of teaching.
Louise began her teaching career in London, where she worked in several schools gaining experience across KS1 and KS2. On relocating to Evesham, Louise was lucky enough to be appointed as the Year 2 teacher at St. Mary’s where she has remained for the past twenty years mainly teaching Year 6.
Louise has been a Governor both at St Mary’s and previously at Lancasterian Junior School in London and is the current staff representative for St. Mary’s Evesham.
DOMINIQUE HARDIMAN
I have lived in the village of Broadway for a number of years and am Parish Administrator of our Parish, St. Saviour’s. I am also an active member of our community as a local Parish Councillor and Chair of the Churches Together in Broadway.
I have been part of the Governing Body of St Mary’s Catholic Primary school in Evesham for many years and am delighted to now be part of the combined Governing Body with St. Mary’s Catholic Primary in Broadway – both Broadway church and school are a very important part of my life.
NICOLA BAYLISS
Nicki has been Assistant Headteacher and Year 5/6 teacher (Maple Class) at St. Mary's Catholic Broadway since Easter 2022. Previously she was the Penguin Class teacher at St Mary's Evesham for five years, working for Miss Smith, before moving to our partner school. She is the Maths lead for both partnership sites and leads the Primary Maths working group for the Our Lady of the Magnificat Academy.
Nicki has a Batchelor of arts (honours degree) in Economy and society and business management and worked in retail management for many years before completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. This enabled her to pursue her long held passion for teaching. She is new to a governing body role but has held PTA positions for many years at her daughters' school.
