Future is bright

Our year 3/4 football team were in action tonight against St Mary’s Evesham. Lots of new faces made their debuts for school and they performed admirably. Evesham stayed quickly and struck with an early goal after some hesitation in our defence. We responded well and started to find some space. We made it 1-1 with a well worked goal and their goalkeeper had made a few excellent saves. Evesham continued to play well and scored to make it 2-1 at half time. After half time we were again caught cold as Evesham raced into a 5-1 lead. We then started to put pressure on the Evesham defence and found ourselves back in the game at 5-4 after some excellent play from Teo and Theo. We nearly levelled the game in the last minute, however Evesham went on the attack and scored to make it 6-4. Overall an entertaining game and lots of positives to take forward to our next game.
